Joint Outreach between Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council and Catholic High School

"Do Not Feed The Pigeons. Help Protect Marymount!" was the key message shared with Marymount residents, in the joint outreach between Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council (BTPTC) and Catholic High School (CHS) on Monday, 17 March 2025.

Joining the group of 36 Primary 5 Prefects was MP for Marymount SMC, Ms #Gan Siow Huang, who spent a fun afternoon with BTPTC staff and the bubbly CHS boys, engaging residents and retailers at Bishan Shopping Mall and the surrounding Blocks 269 to 273, Bishan Street 24.

Popping over to Shunfu estate to join the other half of the group, we continued our outreach to Shunfu residents of Blks 301 to 313. With a little ice-breaking, the students quickly warmed up to the community and were soon sharing on "no pigeon feeding" advisories and "proper waste disposal" messages zealously in bilingual fluency!

Putting up posters with BTPTC staff at pigeon-feeding hotspots and distributing flyers designed by the students themselves, youth engagement & enthusiasm in community building was exemplified. 

A memorable VIA community outreach for the P5 student leaders, we ended the meaningful community journey with a heart-to-heart sharing of invaluable learning points and experiences on co-creating solutions in solving municipal issues as One Marymount, One Community💚💙
