In recent years, there has been an upsurge in cybercrimes such as phishing, ransomware, and scams. Equipping our residents with cybersecurity knowledge to combat scams, Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council (BTPTC) was delighted to collaborate with Cyber Security Agency of Singapore - CSA to pilot this outreach to our seniors.

We are privileged to have our MP Mr Chee Hong Tat join over 200 residents at the “Be Cyber Safe Workshop for Seniors” on 2 Mar 2024. They learnt useful information such as creating a strong password, identifying potential scams and more. This ensures that our residents are more vigilant, preventing them from falling into cybercrimes.

As BTPTC continues our Digital Transformation journey, the collaboration was a timely event for BTPTC staff to do our bit for the estate we maintain, as we prepare our community and assist them with the basic skills to protect themselves when using our e-services.
