Working into the night to be ready for heightened alert commencing past midnight, Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council sprang into action at 7 hawker centres across the GRC/SMC in an intensive 5-hour operation! Barricading some 2000 tables & chairs and installing floor markings to ensure safe-distance queueing at high-traffic stalls, the BTPTC team continues to bring safer common spaces for our residents. 

As Singapore enters into the COVID-19 heightened alert, dining at hawker centres and eateries is prohibited from 16 May to 13 June 2021. To minimise the risk of transmission, only takeaways and deliveries are allowed in the next 4 weeks. Let's continue to stay strong and play our part in stemming out the transmission of virus as One Community!
